What volunteers do
They listen without turning the moment into a lecture.
They help a man name the pressure, slow down, and choose one safer next step.
They follow escalation rules when risk is immediate.
What volunteers do not do
They do not replace therapists, doctors, lawyers, police, or emergency services.
They do not collect stories for social media or use vulnerable moments for status.
Who should apply
Apply if you can stay calm, respect confidentiality, receive training, and accept that some applications should be rejected for safety.
Do not apply if you are currently in acute crisis yourself. Your first responsibility is your own safety.
